European Head of Fintech Engagement and Strategic Partnerships, Visa
Vish is the European Head of Fintech Engagement and Strategic Partnerships for Visa. He joined Visa in 2012 as the Head of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships for AP & CEMEA based in Singapore and was a member of the APCEMEA leadership team.
Before joining Visa, Vish was head of business development with digital partners for T-Mobile Europe where he pioneered the creation of the split-contract financing model which is now widely used across the industry. Prior to that he was the head of group risk management for Jardine Fleming based in Hong Kong in which role he helped them successfully navigate the Asian crisis in 1997. Vish started his career with Citibank and held a number of senior corporate banking roles across several countries in Asia.
Vish holds a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a post graduate degree in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, India.
Tristan is the Head of Marketing & Community at Monzo, the self-styled “bank of the future”. Since they launched just over two years ago, Monzo has grown to more than half a million customers and has become well-known for their transparent culture, record breaking crowdfunding rounds and relentless focus on building a customer-focused bank. Javier Montes Pita came to Romania after holding the Executive VP Retail Customers position in Spain. With a 17 years experience in ING Group, Pita was Client Intelligence Manager in ING Direct Headoffice, and lead the teams dedicated to Savings & Investments Products and Campaigns and Strategies for Clients.
Thanos Psathas - Deputy CEO of Piraeus Bank Romania, is a big business accelerator. He ignites ideas gathering talents and squeezing out the new technologies. Over last 30 years, Thanos Psathas has been developing a series of programs that became some of the main strategic directions for companies such as Ernst & Young, Arthur Andersen or Piraeus Bank Group.
He believes in continuous self-improvement, advocates for literacy and has an Academic Background in Business Administration. More specifically, Thanos Psathas holds a Bachelor Degree of Science in Management Accounting with the University of Economic & Business Studies from Athens. Marcus is VP of partnerships at Monese (where he was also the first investor). He has over 20 years of experience in the digital industry as a marketer and business owner. Marcus takes the lead on all strategic relationships at Monese and is an angel investor in early stage tech businesses in his spare time.
Costas has 16 years of experience in retail banking with focus in consumer finance and cards in companies operating successfully on several South Eastern European markets. He is also highly experienced in managing deposits, investment products and transactional banking. He had a leading role in establishing and managing the Affluent Banking Division in two banks.
He started his career in Citibank and has held executive positions in EFG Eurobank in Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.
Mardi is an Associate in the Financial Regulatory Practice at Clifford Chance London. Mardi was has worked on a range of regulatory implementation and advice projects for a number of large international banks, investment firms and FinTechs.
She has recently been focused on FinTech projects, including payments regulation and the regulation of cryptocurrencies and related exchanges.
In his dual role as Managing Director of Namirial SRL (Romania) and Namirial Group Partnerships & Alliances Manager for CEE, Adrian coordinates the activities of the Romanian subsidiary of Namirial while also handling the group’s partnerships and alliances in the Central and Eastern Europe. Over the past 9 years and through the various positions that he held in different Namirial (formerly xyzmo/SIGNificant) entities, Adrian was involved in digitalization projects from around the World which covered a multitude of verticals: Financial Services, Insurance, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Government, Utilities, etc.

Teodor Blidăruș is a highly succesful Romanian antreprenor, with over 20 years of experience in the IT & C industry. He played a strategic and key role in growing several businesses. Teodor is currently CEO at Fintech OS, a fintech acceleration software platform that provides agile and complete digital transformation of banks and insurance companies. He founded and powered Softelligence, a software development company, along the journey from start-up to market leader. This brought him a nomination to the prestigious Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year”. At present, he continues to play a strategic role within the company. As President of the Romanian Professional Association of Software and Services (ANIS), Teodor is involved in supporting entrepreneurs on the path to mature businesses.
Alina Stancu Birsan heads the Finance department and the Energy and Projects practice of PeliFilip. She advises sponsors, lenders, equity investors, lenders and contractors on a wide range of matters (including financing transactions, acquisitions and mergers, joint ventures, regulatory, structuring and contractual matters). Her experience covers sectors such as financial services, energy and infrastructure, where she advised on some of the most noteworthy deals in the sector.

George is a British citizen who has recently moved to Bucharest after living in United Kingdom. His latest position has been as a Group Accountant for the biggest UK independent Property Management Company - Rendall and Rittner - based in the heart of City of London. He has spent 6 years in the role crossing paths with some of the highest calibre professionals. Despite receiving numerous offers from London and Frankfurt's powerhouses, he has decided to move to Romania to take advantage of the emerging markets as well as the opportunity of joining Vulpoi&Toader Management as their Business Development Director focusing in particular on nurturing the new partnership with London’s Foreign Exchange Company, The Currency Account.
Mihai has a background in economics and computer science. He has over 12 years of experience in delivering digital products and is passionate about AI. As the CEO of Oveit his goal is creating the perfect financial tool for cashless payments within events and entertainment venues.
After spending more then 10 years as an investment analyst and portfolio manager in Bucharest, London and Cluj-Napoca, Adrian co-founded in 2016 the company which is developing Pago, a payment app which in November 2017 became the first fintech to receive an investment from a Romanian bank, Banca Transilvania. He is now fully involved in growing Pago to becoming the preferred payment app in Romania for utility bills, mobile recharges, insurance, taxes and several other payment types planned for the coming months.
Cosmin is Co-founder &Managing Partner of FINQware. He started his career in financial services industry as a business owner for a ING Bank franchised branch. After a succesfull exit from his first venture in 2007, he acted as manager in GE Capital, Garantibank and Volksbank in commercial and risk management/debt collection functions. Moving further back in the entrepreneurial world, Cosmin made in 2014 his second exit from a re-insurance broker, a company where he was previously co-founder and General Manager. In 2017, Cosmin founded FINQware, a fintech start-up prepared to create a pan-EU cross border marketplace for financial services.
Vlad Nistor is the CEO and Founder of CoinFlux, the leading digital currency exchange service from Romania. Prior to starting up his company, Vlad had a successful career in asset management, working for Aegon and Erste Bank, managing assets of over 500 million euro.
Ionut Ciuta is a software engineer passionate about machine learning and emmerging technologies. Up until recently, he was part of the Innovation Department for one of the biggest payment providers in the Nordic region where he was involved in the design and development of a millenial-oriented social payment platform. He is also co-founder of CredXp, one of the fintech teams qualified in the 2018 Innovation Labs program. CredXp is a service that helps banks streamline their credit analysis procedures by prioritizing valuable customers using AI.

Bearer of multiple hats at the intersection of law, technology and community, Tudor has previous experience working both with top business law firms and tech startup teams and projects in the industry. Currently he involved in building Digital 2 Law , a legal/tax consultancy project dedicated to the tech industry, and Fintech Camp, a network of fintech communities and projects currently present in 7 cities across 4 countries.
